Various countries have qualified for the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in September. The countries have been drawn against hosts Syria, Tajikistan and the Philippines. 

To build group the teams for the tournament, it was decleared at a playing match held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that the 44 teams would be small form  in u-23 Asian cup into 1 group of four and play each other in a round-robin format. FC U-23 have thus been selected to play in the seventh edition of the cup.

In 2012, the Gorkhali team managed to win only one match each against Bangladesh in the match held at the Dashrath Stadium. Nepal had get defeated all the matches of the 2016 match of the qualifiers.

In 2021, the Nepali team did not manage to register a single win when it visited Iran, Lebanon, Tajikistan in Asian cup u-23 match it will be glad to know of nepal. Nepal was also not able to participate in the previous edition of the cup qualifiers held in 2023.
